Trail to Scorpion Bay (San Juanico)

As you're driving along the highway you'll see a diagonal trail heading to the Northwest. The trail is immediately sand and it's recommended for most vehicles to air down slightly at this point. This trail will take you to a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean with some good camping spots. Then the trail descends down a steep hill to the beach. It's off-camber and deep sand. Take caution and walk ahead to make sure you're taking the correct trail down to the beach. Once you're on the beach, you drive North towards the town of San Juanico. There are several good camping spots up and away from the high tide as you go. The trail ends where the local fishermen launch their pongas. You can buy fish from them directly at the beach. The trail takes you up to the paved road into San Juanico.
