Trail Overview
This dirt route begins where the paved section of Camino Cabo Este ends, offering a scenic journey along Baja's rugged coastline. The initial stretch can be rough due to corrugation, depending on recent grading, but the road gradually improves, revealing breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez and the vibrant waters of Cabo Pulmo. The route is unchallenging, requiring no 4WD, and features occasional concrete reinforcements designed to preserve the path during storms. Along the way, you'll pass intriguing structures before making a final descent into a vast, free camping area--once a large RV park--offering ample space for travelers. From here, you can connect to another onX route leading to Cabo Pulmo's eco-tourism attractions or continue roughly 30 miles south to San Jose del Cabo.
