Trail Overview

Expect some mud holes that are not very challenging--most of them are bypassable. In addition, there are a couple of creek crossings and beaver dams. Don't be fooled; fun can be had in Darling. Be careful at the exit since you end up on an 80 KM/hr road. You may want to air up before hitting the pavement.

Difficulty

If you stay on the main track, stock Jeeps, Tacomas, and others can make it easily, even though there are side trails that can be more challenging. There is a beaver dam crossing that can be challenging; pick the right line, and everything will be fine.

Conditions were good, water levels were low enough that it we made the deeper pond crossing with no issues. Lots of slippery stone, but air down and good to go with stock 35" A/Ts.

Rockey and narrow at times. Great trail to add on the Canadian Hilands dual sport trail. Dam crossing is passable with motorcycle but feels loose.

Foot of wet slippery snow/ice. Steepest hills at 14 degrees. Barely any off-camber sections. Multiple trails/routes that fork and meet again later allowing circumvention of tougher obstacles. Not particularly difficult, but double locking differential useful and/or necessary in snowy/icy/very muddy conditions due to slippery rocks going uphill.
