Trail Overview

This is a fun forest service road that gets you off the pavement. It is a mix of Level 4 technical and then a long stretch of fun and fast Level 1 technical. The route starts just south of Nakusp on Arrow Lake and runs for about 42 km offroad with amazing views and wildlife pooping out further south in Roseberry on the Slocan Lake.

Difficulty

The first 11 km would be rated at a level 3 or 4 as it is more technical with off-camber rocky situations and tight trail. The remaining 31 KM are fast flow FSR that is fun to go "Baja Mode".

Completed this trail today after moderate to heavy rain in a stock Toyota 4Runner in mostly 2x4. Started at the end near Roseberry and visited all the Rec/Camping sites along the way to the Nakusp end. Most of this trail is a fairly easy forest service road however the section between Wilson Lake East and Wilson Lake West camp sites can get steep, rocky and narrow. If you don’t have a capable 4x4 vehicle and want to visit both sides of the lake, doubling back and taking the 25 minute drive on the highway between the ends of the trail will possibly save you a lot of time and aggravation in the long run.
