Trail Overview

The "Back Road" is an easy 2-wheel drive route that travels through the Cariboo Mountains. The road connects Likey to Barkerville and Wells. The road is seasonally open between June to October, depending on the snowpack. While the road itself is an easy gravel road, there are several switchbacks, potholes, and narrow sections. There are several Recreation Sites and attractions to see along the way, like Ghost Lake Falls and Comet Creek Falls. Expect lots of wildlife, including bears.
