Trail Overview
This is an easy gravel road that was used by the British Columbia Forest Service to fight a fire in 2023. The trail is steep and rocky with many spur trails that don't really go anywhere. Users will find spectacular views of the Skeena River and some interesting landscapes from the 2023 Forest fire in the area. While generally an easy trail, some sections are very steep, reaching 18%. Most of the trail is single lane, loose rock or gravel.
Difficulty
This is an easy gravel road that was built for the logging industry. In 2023, there was a forest fire in the area, and updates were made to the road. The road itself is loose gravel with some small deactivations; most vehicles with reasonable clearance should have little issue with the road. Some steep sections reach an 18% grade, along with a few switchbacks. There are multiple spurs, but none of them go too far. Adventurers who get to the top will see some spectacular views of the Skeena River, along with wild flowers and the remains of the 2023 forest fire.
