Trail Overview

This is an easy Forest road that is maintained in the summer. It is a perfect road to connect the Deadmen Pass with the Racehorse Creek Pass. There are many beautiful views of Alexander Creek with potential fishing spots. This is an active logging road, so stay sharp.

At 17.5km up the Alexander Creek Road you’ll see the cut line into the trees that starts upwards immediately. It’s deeply V cut with rain runnels with a few sections of collapsed trail that’s difficult to manage. This is strictly dirt bike terrain as it’s tight and nasty. That will last 1km uphill where you take the right turn down a well used double track without troubles. In 500m you’ll see the single track going downward to the right (south). It starts off easy and increases in steepness and rocky single track for 1.5km ending with small trees felled onto the entrance. You exit onto the FSR that’ll take you to the bottom of Racehorse Pass. I’m writing this report as a warning to ADV enthusiasts: we don’t know where the FSR was that shows an easy back entrance to RHP. This trail is not well used, not maintained, not easy, but good times if you like that sort of thing. Dual sports, yes. ADV you’re nuts and have my respect
