Trail Overview

Allison Creek Road is an access road to many places. From Chinook provincial campground access and Allison creek staging area, where you can find open camping with outhouses & off-loading ramps. If you keep going North, you can access the Window Mountain Trail and many others. This road is not maintained, but is still in good shape due to a high level of rock content. If you keep travelling North, this road will take you to the Dutch Creek Road, then back to the Forestry Trunk Road, also known as Highway 40. Cell phone coverage is very unreliable.

The ‘road’ is an actual trail, don’t be confused. The ‘road’ is rough for the first 21 miles, lots of ruts, rocks and washout. Bridges are in good shape for being in the backcountry. At mile 21 there is active logging near Dutch Creek, be cautious. They are also resurfacing the road with a D8 Cat, if it’s wet, you are FUBAR!!! Once near Dutch Creek it opens up. I highly recommend a true 4 x 4 and not some SUV type, you won’t make it. Lastly, air down
