Waterfall Trail

The Waterfall Trail is a short out and back walk located nearby to the central Branson area. It makes for a pleasant walk to a peaceful waterfall setting for those looking to infuse a little outdoor time to their Branson experience.The trail begins with parking in a large gravel lot just outside of a warehouse that might be busy with truck traffic, and the path parallels a small stream that sits immediately below a gated housing development, so it's not exactly away from the city, however it's nice for what it is.The path heads upstream along a clear trail with minimal elevation change. There are a couple points where the trail crosses the river and may be slippery, depending on stream and recent rain conditions, but aside from these, it remains pretty easy. About a third of a mile in, there is a small cascade along the trail. With no sign markings, we saw a couple people reach this and turn back. However continuing another third of a mile or so further reveals the slightly larger falls at the destination.The waterfall is about 8 feet tall, and has signs of past structures built to pool the water. It's not extremely natural feeling, but it's nice. It's also possible to climb a slippery dirt slope on either side to sit on the top of the falls.From here, retrace your route back down to the parking area.There are no amenities of any kinds at the parking area or trailhead. The hike is nearly entirely in the shade. The gravel parking area sees a good amount of truck traffic, so it's best to park as far from the warehouse as possible. The trail is open daily from 6am to one hour before sunset.
