Description
Depending on direction, this trail can take on two levels of difficulty. From Heiberg Forest to Tinker Falls (west to east), the trail has a descending feel with a steep descent into Labrador Hollow. Reversed from Tinker Falls to Heiberg Forest (east to west), this trail will provide a nice workout. Overall, the trail provides a nice hike through a variety of woodlands and diverse terrain from a pond, pine woods, and wetlands, to a unique side-hill environment and eventually into the Labrador Hollow Unique Area. The unique area provides access to Labrador Pond and the boardwalk loop hike. One stretch of the trail does run parallel to Route 91, but provides enough distance for a sense of privacy. This section of trail is rolling and well traveled.
