Optimal Season: Early spring to mid-fall. Open year round. Some snowshoe to the falls during winter, but those that do so should be aware of avalanche dangers.
Path Type
There and Back
The trail is well-marked and easy to follow. The descent from the ridge down to the base of the falls is quite steep (youngsters should be held in check at that point) but this is a great family friendly hike overall. Summer is a good time to make the trek, and fall is even better because colored leaves are magnificent.Once at the falls, some will venture up to the base of the first tier of the falls, however, the trail to this area is on a steep slant and this is not recommended. Once you've enjoyed the falls, turn back and return the way that you came to return to the trailhead.
