Description
Pull-off along the side of Chesnut Rd in order to park. This doubletrack trail is deeply rutted and has a number of mud holes created by local ATV and equestrian traffic. Begin hiking and notice a makeshift campsite on the right side of the trail with a number of beer bottles on a nearby tree. Continue on Race Track Ridge as you pass through the wide open glades and taken in the scenery, which is best observed in fall/winter. Litter is frequent in this area, so bring a sack to pack out a little trash. The trail descends towards a run-off creek, which may require a water crossing in Patrick Hollow. Travel towards other glade trail or head towards the parking lot.
