Aspiration Trail

The Aspiration Trail is a unique trail located just a short distance from St. George, Utah. Getting to the "trailhead" can be a bit tricky - you'll take the Southern Parkway to Desert Color Parkway, then take a right on an unmarked dirt/gravel road. Continue following this road for about half a mile until you reach the "trailhead" (you'll notice a lot of painted rocks on the ground nearby!). High clearance/4x4 is not needed.Once at the trailhead, head toward the painted rocks. This is what the Aspiration Trail is all about. Hundreds, if not thousands of rocks have been painted and used to create this pathway, many of which contain aspirational quotes.You'll follow the pathway that is lined with these painted rocks. At the first junction you come to take a right and begin climbing up the hill. While this hike is relatively short, it is a good climb up to the top.You'll know you've reached the top when you come to an area with more painted rocks and the sign that congratulates you on reaching the "Aspiration Trail's Spectacular Summit."Since this is a loop trail you'll continue as it descends back toward the trailhead. You'll have great views toward St. George and the mountains in the distance.As you near the bottom of the hill keep an eye out for the left hand turn that will take you back to the trailhead.Please don't take any rocks home with you, but you are welcome to paint and contribute your own!
