Description
This is a very short and easy adventure to a spring and a short cave. It's located right off the road and there are several information kiosks that talk about how the spring is named after Thomas E. Ricks. He discovered the spring while exploring Logan Canyon. There is a bridge so you can go to the other side of the spring and you are allowed to go inside the 25 ft deep cave. The water is not safe to drink so don't fill up any water bottles unless you're using a filter. The spring water is actually connected to the Logan River and other water sources and has giardia in it. This spring is located in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest so there are plenty of other hikes to do here! There are many things to do in Logan Canyon. Ricks Spring is a great place to visit and a great add-on to your greater Logan Canyon adventure!
