This is an extremely easy and short hike in Logan Canyon that can be done by any person in any car. The area is affectionately called the Hobbit Caves by locals but is not well known out of the valley. It is named for a series of tiny caves that have several windows and a few connections. They are a child's dream. To top it off there are large rock climbing routes, a small waterfall, and great fire rings and campsites. Right hand fork is well signed and is about 7 miles east of Logan, in Logan Canyon. There is a great place to camp close to the trail called the Lodge Campground. The trailhead is located just off the main road in the middle of a free camp spot. Immediately after you cross the small bridge, head right. To the left are more great fire pits and camp spots. The trail is easy to follow and flat as it passes through the oak forest. It will be obvious when you reach the caves. They are in a gorgeous green area almost completely in shade. While not big enough for an adult your kids will love it! Just be sure to watch them because some of the rocks are sharp. Just below the caves is the small 5-foot waterfall. You will easily find it since it is loud and runs year round. The pools at the base are perfect to dip your feet in or let the kids play in.
