The loop is the primary trail in the park. The marked entrance is on the eastern side near the intersection of Shelterwood Drive and Pineshade Lane. There are signs at the marked entrance.
The loop is entirely shaded. Interpretive stations are marked and can be accessed by calling 713-401-2441. The tour map can be found at https://west11thstreetpark.org/wirelesswilderness/tourmap.
The Preserve was previously known as the West 11th Street Park and renamed in 2021 to honor the memory of the primary advocate for the park. https://communityimpact.com/houston/heights-river-oaks-montrose/2021/06/21/local-park-in-the-heights-renamed-after-activist-that-helped-preserve-it/
