The folks who have designed, built and maintained this trail over the years have taken careful consideration to include as many fun and sustainable hiking trails as possible. Depending on where you start, and the order in which you hike the sections, you may have a different experience. This single fact contributes to the fun of this trail because it can feel like a different hike every time.This trail is mostly flat and well-maintained. Enjoy the scenery and shade of the wooded sections of the trail.
Part of the trail is located on the 100-Acre Wood Preserve, located in northwest Harris County. The preserve contains several unique forest communities, including an upland forest with remnants of mature post oaks and a forested wetland with overcup oak.
