Park at the Sulphur Springs Road Trailhead, a small lot off Sulphur Springs Road. Start your hike on the Powerline Trail. This aptly named trail, follows a powerline cut, and the path here is wide, straight, and well-maintained, making for easy hiking. The trail is still plenty scenic as it follows along the park's western edge. There isn't much shade so you'll want to make sure you start early in the summer to avoid the heat of day. Along this open section, you can spot wildflower, scenic views, and plenty of birds lining the edge of the woods. At just over half a mile, take a short connector trail to hop onto the Blue Trail. The Blue Trail winds and weaves through more dense long leaf pines, offering more shade than the first half of the hike. You'll cross a scenic creek and continue through the woods. There are several benches along this part of the trail if you want to stop for a short break to catch your breath and enjoy the scenery. The Blue Trail will eventually end back at the Sulphur Springs Road Trailhead.
