Loop
Alita Prime is a loop. It connects several established trails and roads combined to make a loop. This trail is going to be some singletrack and some doubletrack. The terrain can go from very rocky and steep to pretty well kept flat trails with minimal to no rocks. You'll have a nice climb about 4.5 miles in for a good mile or longer, then it flattens out a bit to give your calf muscles a rest. Once you hit the wild horse cabin you'll have another good climb. There isn't a specific end point on the climb other then a small rock to sit on so check your GPS to see the end point of the climb potion of this trail (this is not the end--you still have several miles to go, but its the end of the huge climb). After the climb, you have a nice downhill portion to go on for a while and your legs will thank you. On the way back, when you are on the 800A road (Cottonwood Pass West Road #45800A), you'll encounter beautiful desert views to enjoy on your way back. The trail reconnects to the Dead Horse Loop after taking 800A to 800B (Cottonwood Pass West Road #45800A to Epcie Road #45800B).
The wild horse cabin sometimes you can see wild horses if they are around.
