There and Back
Start at Roslyn Landing Park and head down the trail as it winds along the banks of the Appomattox. About two miles into this path, there is an overlook lifted 15 feet off the ground that faces out toward the river where an historic railroad embankment previously ran through. There is a handicap-accessible ramp that leads up to the overlook allowing for anyone to go up and observe. The path continues a short ways past the overlook, ending at Rte. 1. Once you've reached the end, simply return the way that you came.
The river trail offers a scenic view of the Appomattox River that stretches from the Interstate-95 overpass to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge.
