This route begins at the park contact station, following a series of wide forest roads that form a complete circuit through the dense woods of Erving State Forest. Head east on Camp Road and continue until the junction with Cut Off Road. Turn left and follow Cut Off Road through gently rolling terrain to reach Cross Road. Turn left onto Cross Road and left again onto Mountain Road. As the road begins to curve back toward the starting point, turn left once more to reconnect with Camp Road and return to the contact station.
The route uses well-established forest roads, making it suitable for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. It is accessible year-round, although snow or wet conditions may make travel slower or more challenging in winter. There are no reliable water sources along the route, so carry everything you need. This moderate trail is a good option for hikers seeking a quiet walk through wooded terrain with few navigational complexities.
