The Moss Lake Trail begins from the parking area off Sand Hill Road and follows a well-marked path around the perimeter of Moss Lake. Hikers can travel in either direction along the shoreline, passing through sections of mixed forest and wetland. Short boardwalks span marshy ground, and gentle terrain makes the route accessible for all skill levels.
Along the way, look for turtles sunning on logs, waterfowl along the shoreline, and signs of beaver activity. Birdwatchers will find this route especially rewarding during migration seasons. Expect some muddy stretches in spring and after heavy rain, and in winter the trail may be icy. The route ends back at the trailhead, offering a peaceful walk with lake views the entire way.
