Description
The short Cherry Tree Trail starts from a trailhead off Wolf Run Road and is only a couple miles from Interstate 77 and makes for a great trail to stretch your legs on a long drive. The trail descends a singletrack trail through the soft pine needle carpeted trail through the pine barrens. The trail comes to a junction with a Cherry Tree Trail sign. You can take either direction. If going to the right, you'll weave and descend until you are alongside a drainage (if you take the connector trail across the drainage it will take you to the Lakeview Trail). Stay to the left and head slightly uphill. The trail has a short section that curls around to the right after marker post 8. The trail returns to the sign and heading back to the trailhead is a little under 0.5 miles roundtrip.
