Loop
The Asbury Woods Loop begins and ends at the main trailhead near the Nature Center on Asbury Road. From the parking area, follow the wide Greenway Trail into the forest, where the route gently winds through hardwood canopy and shaded corridors. For most of the route, you’ll stay on the Greenway Trail as it leads to a scenic bridge over Walnut Creek. After crossing the creek, turn onto the Meadow Loop and continue south through open fields and wetland edge habitat. Midway through this section, a short side trail leads to an observation platform with views across the meadow—a worthwhile detour for birdwatching or a quiet break.
From the southern end of the Meadow Loop, take Bluff Trail to re-enter the woods and reconnect with the Greenway Trail. Follow it north to return to the trailhead, completing a relaxed route through varied ecosystems. With clear signage, gentle terrain, and well-maintained paths, this route is an easy and rewarding nature walk in the heart of Erie County.
