Point to Point
From the north part of the lake parking lot, look for the trailhead and trail sign. From this point you'll be going clockwise around the lake. There are many side trails. At every fork and Y in the trail, stay to the right. At one point, the trail crosses many other trails and it can be confusing. At that juncture, continue to the right, over the cement spillway.
The trail is often muddy after a rain as it is a singletrack and not paved. There are only gradual inclines and declines, but if the trail is muddy it can be easy to lose your footing. Deer, beavers, and large birds of prey are often spotted. There are many types of trees, and wild grasses. It's a beautiful place to have a relaxing outing, and you'll generally meet a person or two along the way.
