Table Rock Fire Lookout

Enjoy 360-degree views on clear days, with the Wallowa Mountains to the southeast, the Seven Devil Mountains of Idaho to east, and the Elkhorn Mountains to the south. The lookout sits right on the lip of the Mill Creek Watershed. It is a dramatic dropoff. The watershed is closed to all, with stiff fines for those who enter. As noted in the restrictions, the road may be gated at the junction with Skyline Divide. If open the road can be muddy and rutted making four wheel drive vehicle best.The hike up is variable in difficulty effected by the mud in the early part of the season. That said, the effort is more than worth it. Only Oregon Butte compares for the views.
