Scenic River Trail

When traveling north on OH-7 N, the trailhead is located on the left with minimal parking on the shoulder. More parking is available at the Leith Run Recreation Area which is located on the right shortly after passing the trailhead. Additionally, this linear trail ends on County Road 9 near German Cemetery with a parking lot. The Scenic River Trail begins close to the Ohio River and then climbs steep switchbacks for about a quarter mile to overlook the river. It is best seen during the colder months when fewer leaves are on the trees to obstruct the views. It continues rolling through the hills, passing by rock formations and through quiet forests.
