Angel Lake is a high alpine lake located 12 miles above the town of Wells making it a short and easy drive off of Interstate 80. The lake offers scenery, fishing, canoeing, camping, and hiking. Angel Lake is a great and scenic place to spend a couple hours relaxing and if you camp there are many activities. The campground is nice with many small aspens but very little shade. So keep that in mind. Greys Peak towers over the lake going to 10,674 feet. The lake sits at 8,378 feet. These mountains are very rugged.
