Danforth Falls Loop Trail

The Danforth Falls Loop Trail begins at a small gravel lot on Lincoln Street (Route 85), across from Bradford Road, in the Danforth Falls Conservation Area. From the trailhead, the White Trail winds through a mixed hardwood forest, following the course of Danforth Brook. After a short distance, stay right to remain on the White Trail, crossing varied terrain that includes glacial boulders and rocky patches that may be muddy or slick, especially after rain. About one third of the way through the loop, the trail reaches Danforth Falls—a modest but scenic cascade tucked into the woods. Beyond the falls, the route climbs gradually toward a high point near Philips Hill, where filtered views open through the trees. The trail then curves back to rejoin the initial section. Stay on the White Trail to return to the trailhead, or take a marked side trail to extend the hike slightly. While the route is short and manageable, footing may be uneven in places, and the area near the brook can be slippery, especially in winter or after storms. Dogs are allowed on leash.
