The Blitzer Easement route begins from roadside parking along Rowe Mountain Road near Center Road outside Bradford, New Hampshire. From either trailhead, follow the West Side Trail or East Side Trail as the route climbs steadily through mixed pine, hemlock, oak, and spruce forest. The lower portions are gradual before becoming steeper as the trail gains the ridge. After a sustained climb, the route reaches the ridgeline and intersects the Knights Hill Trail.
Turn along Knights Hill Trail to traverse the upper ridge. A signed spur branches south from Knights Hill Trail and climbs a short distance to the wooded summit of Knights Hill. While views from the peak itself are limited, the spur provides a clear high point and a quiet detour from the main route. Back on Knights Hill Trail, continue along the ridge to reach the junction with the opposite side trail, then descend back toward Rowe Mountain Road.
Occasional openings along the ridge offer northerly viewpoints, with the White Mountains visible on clear days. The trail surface is packed dirt and forest duff, with seasonal mud and winter ice possible. This conserved forest route combines moderate climbing, a brief summit spur, and peaceful ridge walking for a rewarding hike near Bradford.
