Description
Locals often like to say that Limekiln Trail feels like it's downhill in both directions; frequent grade reversals mean that the climbs are never too long, and long straight sections mean that you can move along at a pretty good clip on this trail. Limekiln Trail is beginner friendly; there is little climbing and few technical features, save for a couple rooty and rocky areas. The relative easiness of this trail and its accessibility to the campground make it a favorite trail with families. Limekiln meets Walnut Trail at the Hoosier's Nest.
