Description
The Fire Tower Loop Trail starts at the Pineview Trailhead and diverges to the Lake Trail after a quarter mile. Look for the white diamond blazes marked with permanent marker. The trail initially descends steeply into the hollow and leads out to Piney Creek Trail. This section is poorly marked, and there can be a challenging water crossing depending on rain/season. Follow along the river to find the trail back to the Fire Tower, which is a three-way intersection marked with a cairn. It is a long, but gradual climb upwards to the parking lot.
