Loop
The Bradley Palmer Loop begins at the trailhead off Topsfield Road, where you cross a footbridge into the northeastern corner of the park. At trail intersection 5, turn left onto a wide dirt road to begin a circuit through this Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation property. The route leads through shaded woods and gently rolling terrain, passing through low forest before arriving at the southern parking area. From there, continue across the lot to rejoin the trail as it winds west and then gradually north through mixed hardwoods and open clearings.
After passing trail intersection 55, turn left at the nearby road junction to follow a short stretch of the Bay Circuit Trail. This portion curves north and leads toward the park headquarters. Walk through the headquarters grounds and pick up the accessible trail near Lamson House, which loops back to the original footbridge and trailhead. Hikers can also use inner connecting trails throughout the park to reach side destinations like Moon Hill or Blueberry Hill. Along the way, expect pine-needle paths, occasional riparian views of the Ipswich River, and a variety of terrain suitable for a moderate, family-friendly day hike in northeastern Massachusetts.
