The gate off of the highway leading back to this area is closed in the winter and often not opened until around Memorial Day.

The trail is well-maintained singletrack that runs along the Temple Fork. This area has abundant beaver activity which can often lead to downed trees across the trail, but it also makes for a lot of great scenery and wildlife. The trail does have s steady climb but low grades throughout. The colors in fall are spectacular.
This trail leads to a small clearing with some informational placards as well as old equipment from when the wood was being harvested to build the Logan LDS Temple.
The trail does have some loose rocks and the occasional root. If you stray off trail at all watch out for ground squirrel holes.
