Description
Starting out at the trailhead on Laurel Lane, you'll actually descend to the junction with the park's Yellow Trail. Stay left and follow the Yellow Trail as it gently climbs toward scenic vistas at the top of the hill. Fall and winter are especially beautiful times of year to visit. Descend from the summit and take a left to return on the Red Trail. There is a steep descent on this trail that leads you toward, and then along the Pocantico River. Further down the trail, there is a hand-operated floating dock system that acts as a ferry connecting Briarcliff's Pocantico Park with Westchester County's Pocantico Lake Park to the south. This loop finishes with a steep, but short climb, that brings you back up to the trailhead.
