Description
The singletrack begins at a cairn on the right side of the old logging road and starts up towards Little Ellis. Follow the steep fall-line trail to the first prominence (Little Ellis), then continue South on the ridge to gain the !Mt. Ellis summit. This route provides a unique view of the Gallatin Valley from the South. There is quite a bit of climbing while on this trail, so be prepared for a strenuous day. With very few switchbacks, the grade can be quite steep, and almost scrambly in some places. Use caution!
