Description
From Bozeman, head south to Sourdough Canyon Road. Drive about a mile down the road which will end at a gated trailhead with abundant parking off to either side. Because it's an old logging road, Bozeman Creek Trail #454 is wide and level as it follows Bozeman Creek up Sourdough Canyon. Because it's close to town and easy, this is a popular route with mountain bikers, trail runners, and hikers, so be prepared to encounter other trail users along the way. This route is great for any season--it's mostly shaded and has water access making it an excellent summer hike, and it gets groomed and packed out when snowy making it a good option for a winter hike.
