Point to Point
From the Lick Creek saddle, start climbing the switchbacks through an old burn until you reach to crest. At the point the elevation gain is minimal and you can catch your breath hiking along the ridge crest interspersed with some short climbs and descents. Eventually you reach the Hole and hike the loose shale down into the Rock Creek drainage, and the junction with the Bitterroot - Rock Creek Divide Trail South (313).
This trail is almost always done as part of Critical Mistakes.
This trail shares the border with the Anaconda - Pintler Wilderness.
