Description
This is a new section of trail that replaces a 1.7-mile section of trail that runs through some private land. The connector eliminates a section of unmaintained trail that has some very rough spots. Once you go through the gate and pass the connector that will be on your left, it is singletrack heaven. It is mostly uphill all the way to Castle Rock. Just before you get to Castle Rock (a large rock that looks like a castle) the trail comes to a "T" intersection. There is another bench straight ahead. Make a right and it's a 0.6-mile out-and-back to Castle Rock. Make a left and you descend down Badger Trail. There is some mild exposure on this trail and it is used in conjunction with other surrounding trails to make some awesome enduro loops. You can also make the 3.2 mile, 1,000 foot climb up Badger Trail and descend Castle Rock Trail.
