This easy hiking route begins at the Wilkinson Road trailhead in Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve, just west of Macedon. From the small parking area, follow the clearly marked path into the open meadow. The route forms a wide, gentle loop, staying close to the creek and weaving through grassy fields, low wetlands, and edges of mixed hardwood forest. At the first Y-intersection, bear left to follow the loop clockwise along the creek. Continue past several small viewing clearings before curving back through meadow and lightly wooded sections.
The terrain remains flat and grassy throughout, with only subtle changes in elevation. The route can be muddy in wet seasons, especially near the low-lying sections along Ganargua Creek. Expect open sky, sweeping meadow views, and frequent opportunities for bird watching and spotting butterflies. This is a short, peaceful walk ideal for families, nature photography, or a quick stretch in all seasons.
