Caribou River Out and Back

Starting at the Caribou Falls State Wayside parking lot follow the Superior Hiking Trail Caribou River Spur along the Caribou River. This will take you to a fork, turn left, and you'll find metal steps that lead you into the gorge right up to Caribou Falls. After, head back up the stairs and continue up the river where you'll find an overlook of Lake Superior. Continuing further up river, you'll find the water rushing along the river's stone banks. When you reach the group camp, head back the way you came.
