Point to Point
Coy Bald Trail is a dirt singletrack that starts at the Devil's Den camping area and trail junction. The trail immediately crosses Long Creek and heads south through the Hercules Glades Wilderness Area. It climbs to a junction with a connector trail that leads west to Coy Bald Trailhead and Cross Timber Road.
Stay on Coy Bald Trail as it levels out for the next 1.5 miles and continues to weave its way south below Coy Bald. After two miles, the trail climbs again for a short while before bending north and descending back down to Long Creek. The trail ends at the junction with Long Creek Trail
In early 2018 some of the connecting trails were renamed. Coy Bald is the same, but if you are linking trails check to make sure you have the right names! Find a list of the new names and info about them here.
Some Issues
Parts of the trail aren't marked very well and easy to get off of track. Very rocks and a lot of loose rocks. Multiple down trees in path but ways around.
