A great hike going up the ridge but the payoff is amazing - great views of Simi Valley, Moorpark and on clear days even the Channel Islands! There is no shade after you climb the first 500 feet. Try to avoid during summer. Starting out early, around 7:30am, works well to stay cool. The road ends at the edge of Happy Canyon Camp Park at a gate. The road continues on private property.
