Clark Pond Loop

The Clark Pond Trails route begins at a gated trailhead on Bog Road in New London, New Hampshire. The loop uses two main paths—Dancy Trail and Norman Trail—with an optional extension on the Allen Ski Loop during winter. After entering the woods from the gate, the route splits near the start. Turn left to follow the Dancy Trail through marshy lowlands toward Clark Pond, where benches and educational signs offer chances to pause and observe. For a slightly longer route, continue past the pond on the Allen Ski Loop before rejoining the Norman Trail. From the junction, hikers who turn right follow the Norman Trail along a broad, wooded path back to the starting point. During winter, Dancy Trail is used for snowshoeing, while Norman Trail and the ski loop offer gentle cross-country skiing terrain.
