Trail Overview

Twin Mountain Trail connects Headquarters Road to Happy Jack Road in Medicine Bow National Forest between Laramie and Cheyenne. The trail is fairly wide but hosts numerous water holes which can be deep but have a firm bottom. It has several spur roads which lead to dispersed campsites, ATV trails, and single track.

Difficulty

Most of this trail is easy, but east of the Spider Road spur there is a short section of uneven, rutted trail that could be difficult for vehicles with less articulation or low ground clearance, especially if running this section uphill from east to west.

Trail is rough and loose through with some exposed rocks. Hill on the east end has rolls on the side and is very loose in spots. Use caution on bikes.

This trail was super easy... I'm not sure the 4 rating is warranted. Maybe conditions will change after a good rain but I would rate the trail a two or a three at most.
