Trail Overview

This is an easy spur road off the main FS 401 Monument Hill Access, which comes to a dead end with spectacular views and rock outcroppings along the way to explore. The wildlife viewing potential and high country wildflowers (depending on timing) is incredible. If you're headed up Monument Hill, you probably shouldn't skip this short spur.

Difficulty

There are no real technical challenges on this spur. If you made it t the start of the spur, traversing this section will not be a problem. it's all about the views at the end.

History

In Cody, you can find an original cabin from Monument Hill that was moved to the "Old Trail Town". It was built in approximately 1900.
