Trail Overview

This is an easy out-and-back road that leads to a locked gate. The road does get a little rocky here and there, but the biggest challenge of this road is the last 50 yards. The road drops off into a difficult, narrow, and rocky section immediately before the locked gate and there is no place to turn around a full-sized vehicle. There really is no reason to travel to the gate, but if you do, be prepared to climb out of this section in reverse.

This is mostly an easy drive, but the last 50 yards are difficult if you decide to go that far.

Since it is called the Lookout Mountain Trail, we thought there might be a view and went up to the end. There are no views it is all pine trees and narrow down at the very end. There were a couple hunters up there. We would not do it again.
