Trail Overview

Very steep trail and tight through a narrow draw with large rocks and tall drops. Contains many off-camber and steep ledge sections. Recommended 33-inch or taller tires with one or more traction devices. Steep enough that vehicles without fuel injection might want to pass on this one. This trail passes through a free-ride section of the park, so nearby cracks, crevices, and boulders are free to try.

Difficulty

This is an advanced trail that follows a narrow rocky trap up a steep incline. Boulders abound, along with washes, ledges, and difficult obstacles.

History

Escalator got its name, obviously, as being the most direct route straight up into the higher elevation section of the park.
