Trail Overview

FS 2376 is a there-and-back style trail which is accessed from its intersection with Highway 8. This trail has several offshoots along its way that can be used for some different scenery on either the way there or back. This trail has several different riding experiences depending on what portion of the trail is being ridden. The first third of the trail is mostly flat with subtle elevation change and is more open than the remainder of the trail. The second third of the trail navigates through dense forest at the bottom of a valley. The last third of the trail has lots of elevation changes, both on the trail and around it. There are several sections of this trail that have small to medium rocks that protrude through the trail. There are also several areas of the trail that wash out due to the hills on and around it. The vast majority of this trail is only wide enough for one vehicle, but there is limited undergrowth on the trail edges, which makes passing simpler. The end point of this trail has a turnaround located atop a hill, which could make a good dispersed camping spot. Cell coverage in this area is okay but can be spotty at times due to increased demand on the local towers during peak summer months. Downloaded maps should be considered before traveling. Several snowmobile trails navigate through this area in the winter months. This can make winter riding challenging or impossible in some areas.
