Quincy Trail 61 is a relatively steep ride that leads to a turnaround at a well site. From the intersection at Q60 down the first slope is the steepest section, where the trail flattens out significantly for a few dozen yards before descending again. The second portion of the route is somewhat shelved, with the topography on the downhill side dropping off steeply. The terrain is steep enough that climbing back up after heavy rains or snow could be challenging. The trail surface is primarily dirt with rocks and some grass. As the trail descends, vegetation transitions from grassy and lined with brush into a more open wooded area. At the bottom, the well site is small, but there is room enough to turn around comfortably.
